02 Mar Great food, great drink… and great music!
With 2020 now in full swing, the arrival of March sees the events calendar really starts to take off. Jan & Feb are traditionally the quieter months of the year in my world, however, I’ve still been able to clock up at least 2 gigs per week and covered a fair distance with performances in Harrogate, Leeds, Hull, Manchester & Birmingham.
And then there are the enquiries. 41 future event dates have all been confirmed since the New Year broke and they’re still flooding in. Exciting times!
As the title points out, this weeks focus is all around great drink, great food and great music. 6th & 7th March is a weekend I’ve been looking forward to for a long time now and that’s because it’s the 30th Harrogate Beer & Music Festival. An amazing festival organised by the Harrogate & District Round Table, the event will see thousands of people descend on The Crown Hotel, Harrogate for what is a truly amazing charity fundraiser. The band line up is always first class and I’ll be taking over “The Green Room” on both nights with support from my sax masters Laurie & Jasper. Oh… and not forgetting there’s a vast array of beer, wine, prosecco & gin for guests to indulge on. You’ll find loads of info on social media or you can check out the website for ticket sales.
If that’s not enough refreshment for your mind, body & soul, you can also catch me performing at the fabulous Snooty Frox & The Wild Plum, Harrogate on Saturday 7th March between 11:00-14:30. If you haven’t already sampled the delights this place has to offer, then I strongly suggest you do so soon… it’s amazing and a real hidden gem!
So, all-in-all a bumper weekend ahead… can’t wait!
See you on the dance floor,
