2021… let’s go!
I can’t believe we’re nearly done with January and I’m only just getting round to wishing you all a Happy New Year… so, Happy New year!
I’m not really one for setting New Year’s resolutions, however, my short team goals are firmly in place and I’m well into my daily routine of achieving them. As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, I spent a lot of time in 2020 working on my set up & skills to give clients an even better service and experience at future events. This focus is continuing into 2021 and I’ve now added a daily fitness regime to ensure I’m totally ready for action once we’re let loose. Since Christmas, I’ve been pounding the pavements of Harrogate 6 days a week and the lockdown spread is shrinking at a good rate. I’m so ready now to start delivering and this mindset is there for all to see in my latest promo video. I had a great day filming last month with Chris from Camouflage Creative at the Harrogate Studio and I’m absolutely loving the final cut. If you haven’t yet seen it, you can check it out here.
With the current UK lockdown restrictions aside, the normal January influx of enquiries and booking has been a welcome sense of normality in these testing times. As the corporate event scene continues to find it’s feet, the confidence around weddings seems to be brimming and bookings are certainly on par with previous Covid free years. In a normal year, I’d perform at around 130 events, with 50 of those being weddings. As it stands, I’ve got 67 weddings booked in for 2021 from the spring onwards and a further 38 in for 2022. The percentage spilt between event type is certainly shifting for me and there are new wedding enquiries coming in on a daily basis – I’m predicting the wedding share will continue to get bigger. There are still a handful of key dates available for 2021, so if you’re busy planning your big day, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
